About Gaarden & Gaden
Gaarden & Gaden is at Nørrebrogade 88, across from Assistens Cemetery. Since 2015 we have been the local watering hole, wine bar and bistro.
We have a unique selection of natural and traditional wines, made with respect for the people who drink them and the nature they grow in. We also serve classic cocktails and local, freshly tapped draught beer. Our cellar holds around 1,000 different wines, and there is always a good selection by the glass.
The kitchen serves sharing dishes from a menu that changes regularly and with the seasons. We prioritise craftsmanship and unique ingredients rooted in modern European tradition. On weekends we also serve lunch that follows the seasons.
We know many of our suppliers personally and visit them regularly, unless they visit us after a successful hunt or mushroom foray.
Our private dining room seats about twenty people, a few more if you are good friends.
Music runs through the house. We are a regular stop on both Vinterjazz and Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and internationally acclaimed musicians have played here, among them Aaron Parks, Jorge Rossy, Ronja Rose Andersson, George Garzone, AC, Cornelia Nilsson and Ned Ferm.
Vin & Hyl is our recurring DJ night with Tue Track and John Berchtold. We also host other DJ nights on a regular basis with the best vinyl DJs from Copenhagen and beyond.
Gaarden & Gaden has been featured in The New York Times, Die Zeit, Politiken, Berlingske, Phaidon’s Where Chefs Eat and more.
